Highlights from Our Databricks Fundamentals Bootcamp

On March 4^th 2025, we partnered with Databricks to host an in-person Databricks Fundamentals Bootcamp at Verpact in The Hague. This comprehensive event introduced attendees to the Databricks vision and the Lakehouse paradigm, emphasizing the platform's capabilities in unifying data, analytics, and AI.

Agenda Overview:

Morning Sessions:
- Introduction to Databricks & Vision: An overview of Databricks' mission to simplify and innovate data management.
- Databricks Platform Fundamentals: Deep dive into the Lakehouse architecture and its advantages.
Afternoon Sessions:
- Hands-On Labs: Participants engaged in practical exercises, navigating the Databricks workspace and implementing foundational tasks.
- Networking Opportunities: Attendees connected with peers and Databricks experts, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

The bootcamp catered to both beginners and intermediate users, offering insights into data engineering, machine learning, and analytics using Databricks. Participants also had the chance to earn the Lakehouse Accreditation, validating their newly acquired skills.
